Reconstitution calculator · Selank

Selank reconstitution calculator.

Work out the concentration of a reconstituted Selank vial. Presets match the 10 mg format we stock, and the reference table below is calculated for those exact vials. Research use only.

Vial size

This tool reports concentration only. It is not dosing guidance, and nothing here is for human use.

Selank concentration reference table

Every combination of the Selank vial sizes we stock and the bacteriostatic water volumes people most often add.

How the calculation works

Concentration is the mass of peptide divided by the volume of solvent. A vial holding 5 mg reconstituted with 2 ml of bacteriostatic water gives 2.5 mg/ml, so a 100 µL aliquot contains 0.25 mg. The powder itself adds no meaningful volume at these masses, which is why the water volume alone sets the concentration.

Handling in the Vietnamese climate

Sealed lyophilized vials are stable at room temperature in transit, which is why the material ships dry rather than cold. Once reconstituted, the solution is kept refrigerated and shielded from light. Bacteriostatic water is the usual solvent because the benzyl alcohol in it lets a vial be entered more than once.

Common questions

How much bacteriostatic water do I add to a Selank vial?

There is no single correct volume. The water volume sets the concentration: more water gives a weaker solution and a larger aliquot for the same mass. Common choices are 1 to 5 ml. Enter your vial size above to see what each volume produces for 10 mg.

What concentration does a Selank vial give?

It depends entirely on the solvent volume. The reference table above lists every combination of the 10 mg vial format and 1, 2, 3 and 5 ml of bacteriostatic water.

Does the powder change the final volume?

Not measurably at these masses. A few milligrams of lyophilized peptide occupies a negligible volume, so the bacteriostatic water you add is effectively the final volume.

Can I use normal water or saline instead?

Bacteriostatic water is the standard solvent for multi-entry vials because it contains a preservative. Sterile water and saline have no preservative, so they are single-entry solvents.
