What is Tesamorelin?
A stabilised analog of growth-hormone-releasing hormone.
Tesamorelin is a synthetic version of GHRH. The natural hormone the hypothalamus uses to tell the pituitary to release growth hormone. The full natural sequence is 44 amino acids long and degrades quickly; tesamorelin attaches a small chemical group to the end, which blocks the enzyme that would otherwise cut it apart.

Tesamorelin
What is Tesamorelin?
A synthetic analog of growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), stabilised with a chemical group that blocks the enzyme which would normally degrade it. It is approved in the US as Egrifta. Listed here as a non-clinical research material.
How is Tesamorelin different from growth hormone?
It acts one step upstream. Growth hormone is the hormone itself; tesamorelin is the signal that tells the pituitary to release the body's own growth hormone.
